How do Wi-Fi Access Points or Hotspots work?

Wireless Access Points, or hotspots, are placed throughout the hotel. These emit radio signals, enabling any Wi-Fi equipment to communicate with them, and access the network and Internet. Newer laptop standards are compatible with Wi-Fi technology. Older laptops need only to add a credit-card size PC Card to take advantage of using these hotspots.  How does it work?

• The wireless access device is connected to an existing high- speed Internet connection that you provide.
• Any of your customers with a Wi-Fi ready computer will sign up for one of our convenient service plans (or free access if you desire) on a portal page that is custom tailored for your hotel.
• Your customer is now wirelessly connected to the Internet anywhere within a 300 - 500 foot range of the access device. Allowing them to stay connected and be more productive while at your facility.
